Watch Out for Wildlife

Use caution around wild animals. People and pets should stay a safe distance from all wildlife.

Deer typically give birth In late spring and early summer. Does often leave fawns by themselves during the day. People and pets should keep extra distance between them and deer during that time time of year. Call a permitted wildlife rehabilitator or the state wildlife department if a fawn is visibly injured, cry for hours on end, is extremely weak, or is in a dangerous location.

Coyotes have been spotted in and around Anchorage. Please watch pets and children when outdoors.
